Our 2007 scholarship was awarded to Camille Knopf, a fourth year student at UC Davis specializing in equine medicine and diagnostic imaging. Camille is a graduate of Vintage High in Napa and did her undergraduate work at Westmont College in Santa Barbara where she earned a B.S. degree in biology and Spanish. Prior to entering UC Davis, Camille found time to work at the Santa Barbara Zoo doing research in elephant hematology, captain of the Westmont polo team and served as director of student activities at Westmont College. She considers her extracurricular activities to include show jumping, serving as a Pony Club instructor, church volunteer, Spanish translator, show jumping traveling and oh yes, spending time with her husband. Camille is passionate about becoming an equine veterinarian and feels blessed to have received the quality of education available from UC Davis. Her plans are to become an ambulatory equine practitioner.
