What is CSHA Region IV about?

As the name implies CSHA encompasses all of California and promotes horses and horsemanship. The state is divided into "Regions" based on geographical areas. Region IV is located in the central valley. It includes Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Merced, Mono, Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Tuolomne and Mariposa county.

C.S.H.A. Region IV is part of the California State Horsemen's Association (C.S.H.A.) which is the largest non-breed horse organization in California and has been around since 1942. C.S.H.A. is a non-profit organization manned entirely by dedicated volunteers.

The organization is involved in the preservation and building of trails, the advancement of equine health, legislation related to the horse industry, and many other areas. CSHA also provides amateur competition to members and the opportunity to improve their skills through various programs.
